Two weeks ago on October 1st, 20th Century Fox released The Croods on Blu-ray & DVD.  With good animation, charming characters and a surprising amount of heart in the last act, the film is sure to entertain modern families wanting to hang out with a relatable prehistoric brood.  I really liked this one.  We all reviewed The Croods when it was released back on March 22nd, and our overall consensus was:

“Although The Croods is a little light on actual plot, this is a fun family film with a good heart, that is carried by excellent animation, charmingly stylized characters and strong voice acting from Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone.  **3/4 (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes several deleted scenes and a history of the character Belt, along with a look at the different creatures and featurettes on how to draw three of them.

The Croods is 98 minutes and rated G.
