Theatrical Releases:

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (Wide Release): The first new Star Wars movie in theatres since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, this is a big screen spinoff of the Disney Plus streaming series, following the further adventures of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and the adorable Grogu. Sure, this does feel like a few episodes of the series stitched together, but I found it to be an enjoyable space adventure for the fans. (Full Review)

I Love Boosters (Wide Release): Boots Riley’s followup to 2018’s Sorry to Bother You is a “surrealist critique of capitalism” that follows a group of shoplifters trying to get revenge on a fashion designer (Demi Moore). I’m somewhat in the minority on this one it seems; I found it to be candy-coloured but kind of a mess, with little emotional connection or internal logic. Your mileage may vary. (Full Review)

More Releases: Passenger (Wide), Corporate Retreat (Limited), Saccharine (Limited/TIFF Lightbox)

Streaming Releases:

Ladies First (Netflix), Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War (Prime Video)
