DVD/Blu-ray Release: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Walt Disney Studios’ Home Entertainment is releasing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on Blu-ray & DVD today.  Earning over a billion dollars at the box office, this entertaining fourth installment in the popular franchise is worth seeing for the swaggering performance of Johnny Depp.  We reviewed the film when it opened in theatres on May 20th, our overall consensus was:

“Although the 3D here is entirely needless and the running time somewhat long, another excellent performance from Johnny Depp as the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow makes Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides a fun summer blockbuster for older kids and adults.   *** (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes commentary with director Rob Marshall and producer John DeLuca, as well as a blooper reel and animated LEGO short film.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is 136 minutes and rated PG.
