The Art and Making of Star Wars: The Old Republic Book Review by Erin V.
If you like to shop at bookstores for those on your list, the rest of this week’s features are going to be for you. First up is a book that is quite special interest, although you may find that someone on your list will enjoy it.
It’s The Art of Star Wars: The Old Republic. The game was in development for several years and was finally released this week. Especially for those interested in video game development and the history of how this particular game came to be, this is an interesting read. To me the book seems to have enough information if what you’re looking for is an overview.
Like all of the published ‘art of’ books for movies and games we get a lot of early sketches and concepts as well as finished material. While one complaint may be that many of the screenshots and images can be found elsewhere (including some on the official site here), if you’re like me and sometimes like a hard copy of things, it is nice to have everything found there and more published into a book to flip through.
