Today, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is releasing the third season of the musical TV series Glee on Blu-ray & DVD.  Although the first season was an even split between good and otherwise, the second was consistently strong and even had a few excellent episodes.  This third season still offers some positive messages for the many fans, but unfortunately feels unfocused in terms of story as it becomes more obvious that the adult actors can’t really pass for teenagers.

Although the episodes ranged in quality from the entertaining Michael Jackson tribute to the embarrassingly bad Spanish Teacher, the musical numbers continue to keep the show afloat amidst all the teenaged melodrama and sometimes missed attempts at humour.  But despite the fact that the hit and miss season three won’t bring in any new fans, serious “Gleeks” should still add the Blu-ray to their collections.

The 4-disc Blu-ray set includes several featurettes, a deleted song and a jukebox of the musical numbers.
