New releases for the week of July 17th, 2026.

Theatrical Releases:

The Odyssey (Wide Release): The big new movie this week is Christopher Nolan’s epic adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon as Odysseus alongside a stacked ensemble cast. This is Nolan’s first film since winning the Best Picture Oscar for 2023’s Oppenheimer, and it offers grand scale filmmaking on every level. Anticipation is off the charts, including many sold-out 70mm and IMAX screenings, with tickets having gone on sale a year ago. It’s the moviegoing event of the summer. (Review coming soon!)
