Blu-ray Release: Lady and the Tramp
Today, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is releasing Lady and the Tramp for the first time on Blu-ray, as part of the Diamond Edition series. The story of a “footloose and collar free” tramp with a big heart who falls for a lovingly pampered pet dog, this is the perfect blend of charming romance, adventurous spirit and wonderful music. The famous scene at the spaghetti restaurant remains among the best falling in love sequences of all time.
A timeless film from 1955, this was the first of Walt Disney’s animated classics to be produced in CinemaScope and based on an original story. The animation is rich and textured, and every frame is flawlessly restored and looks beautiful on Blu-ray. Feeling just as fresh after almost sixty years, Lady and the Tramp is a beloved masterpiece that remains one of the best animated love stories of all time.
The Blu-ray includes deleted scenes and a song that was cut from the original film, several featurettes as well as the original DVD bonus features.
Lady and the Tramp is 76 minutes and rated G.
