With six weeks to go until this one hits theatres, Paramount has just put out the new official trailer for Ebenezer. This is horror director Ti West’s (X, Pearl, MaXXXine) new take on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, starring Johnny Depp as Scrooge.

This is Depp’s big comeback role, clearly testing the waters to see if he is still a box office draw with audiences. We get to see a lot of mugging in this trailer. The trailer is also somewhat curious, because it basically takes us through the entire plot. Yes, this is a well-known story, but I wonder if the film has some other twist up its sleeve?

The film opens exclusively in theatres on November 13th.
