Last Tuesday, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released the complete first season of the hilarious show New Girl on DVD.  Zooey Deschanel stars as the loveable Jess, a teacher who moves in with three single guys after a bad breakup.  First there’s the womanizing Schmidt (Max Greenfield), the smooth Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Nick (Jake Johnson), who sometimes has trouble expressing his true feelings.  Every excellent episode of the show defies stereotypes with hilarity and believability.

Written by Elizabeth Meriwether, each of the memorable characters have their own personalities, making this a pitch perfect look at the interactions between men and women as well as the sexual tension that often comes between them.  Without wasting a second of the running time, New Girl is filled with hilarious dialogue and a lot of heart, proving to be one of the funniest and most endearing shows currently on television.  The second season is now airing on Tuesday nights.

Along with all 24 episodes, the three disc DVD set also comes with commentary on a few of them, deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel and several featurettes including one on how to dress like Jess.  The set comes highly recommended for fans of the show.
