Today, VVS Films is releasing the aptly titled romantic comedy That Awkward Moment on Blu-ray.  After Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) finds out his wife (Jessica Lucas) is cheating on him, his buddies Jason (Zac Efron) and Daniel (Miles Teller) make a pact that they are staying single with him.  But their promise predictably gets broken when Jason meets Ellie (Imogen Poots), and Daniel starts recognizing deeper feelings for his friend Chelsea (Mackenzie Davis).

Although That Awkward Moment is sometimes mildly amusing in a mindless romantic comedy sort of way, this is also a clichéd film, and the only plot point that we don’t see coming is a contrived dramatic turn that doesn’t fit with the rest of the movie.  But Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan are all likeable enough actors to keep the film watchable, and fans of these promising young talents will want to check this one out.
