Warner Bros. has just released the first teaser trailer for James Gunn’s Superman, starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent. We also get first glimpses at Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luther, and of course Superman’s dog Krypto. It feels a bit more like a sizzle reel with the amount of images being shown, all set to a new version of the iconic John Williams Superman theme.

Gunn’s film serves as a reset for the DCEU, and certainly looks very different in tone from the most recent Zack Snyder-Henry Cavill iteration of the character. He is going for something much brighter and poppier; more “optimistic” is how they’re selling it. The film opens in theatres on July 11th, and Warner Bros. is clearly positioning it to be a massive hit. The full teaser trailer is below.
