Hard to believe it’s August already, and we’ve profiled some great Summer movies – but how about some good reading material for a lazy sunny afternoon?

One of the best films of the summer was The Avengers – one that doesn’t disappoint on multiple viewings.  But like all comic book movies, there is a rich history behind the characters that encompass them.  For those looking to find out more about the comic book origins of the characters in the Avengers movie like Thor and Iron Man, as well as those that haven’t been featured (yet), this is the perfect book to go through.

For both long time fans of the comics and new ones alike, this ‘ultimate guide’ is ideal, with easy organization by characters as well as chronologically, and filled with loads of pictures from the comics.  It’s a fun book to go through and in a perfect format to flip open time and time again, with a guarantee you’ll always land on an interesting page.
