Blu-ray Release: How To Train Your Dragon
Paramount is releasing a new edition of How To Train Your Dragon on Blu-ray today, before the sequel opens on June 13th. Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) is an innocent Viking who can’t bring himself to kill a dragon, much to the dismay of his father (Gerard Butler). But then he befriends Toothless, a lovable dragon who just might convince the townspeople that the creatures don’t need slaying.
Directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, who also made the equally great Disney classic Lilo & Stitch, How To Train Your Dragon is a breathlessly entertaining and also moving film that has only grown more resonant over the past four years. With thrilling action sequences and a lot of heart, this was among the top ten movies of 2010, and remains DreamWorks Animation’s masterpiece.
